Old Tyme Evening Service 4th November 2012 at 7:00pm

An Old Tyme service will be held on the evening of 4th November 2012 as part of the celebrations to mark the 175th Anniversary of the Christian work and witness of The Mall Presbyterian Church in Armagh.

The Old Tyme service will try to reflect worship around the 1840’s with the Assistant minister Mr Trevor Boyd in clerical dress of that time as well as members of the congregation in period dress. The praise will consist of unaccompanied Psalm singing lead by a ‘precentor’, there will be no choir and the sermon will be of an appropriate length!

At various points in the service comparisons between 1837 and 2012 will be noted and explained to the congregation as they reflect on how the Presbyterian style of worship has transformed over 175 years and continues to change.

As always there is an open invitation to join with us to worship God and to give thanks for the life of The Mall Presbyterian Church.
