Choir Says Thanks to Daphne

The Choir met on Tuesday 28th February at “Bide A While” for a meal to mark the retirement of our beloved Organist Daphne.  It was with sadness we learned of her retirement.  Daphne served for 30 years and during that time we realised how much she meant to us in so many ways and that bond grew closer as the years passed by.

To Daphne it wasn’t just a case of playing the organ, it was a ministry to her Saviour she loved and served and all the pieces she selected was complimentary to all parts of worship especially the sermon.  Over the years various people related how they were blessed and encouraged by her selection and playing.

Needless to say we will miss Daphne but hope she will occasionally come back to play for us. And in conclusion we wish Daphne a long healthy and peaceful retirement and may the Lord bless her richly.

in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:6
